Breakdown of the new Apple Screens
People always ask... "Is the aftermarket the same? Does the aftermarket work just as good?" The three main components that make up an iPhone screen are as follows: From left to right in the image above, front glass panel, digitizer, and soft OLED. The glass has the purpose of protecting everything below it. It must be strong and have a good oleophobic coating. The digitizer is the part that receives and controls touch input. If anything, the iPhone has to "work" harder when an aftermarket screen is installed. You may notice diminished battery life and inferior touch response with a lower quality image. There are many different qualities of aftermarket screens. On that note, we only use the highest quality aftermarket parts available.
